I grew up in central Pennsylvania where I developed a love of writing and storytelling. I then decided to study film at Penn State University and practice the art of creating stories through filmmaking. I wrote and directed several narrative shorts, my senior film Intrusion being nominated for a Student Emmy in 2018 for best narrative production. I also had the opportunity to direct and edit two short international documentaries in Budapest and Lisbon. I worked part time as an editor for the Penn State football team, editing social media video content and assistant editing the docuseries Unrivaled: The Penn State Football Story. After I graduated, I went on to become the producer and director of the docuseries, winning an Emmy for the 2019 season.

 

I realized that I wanted to continue to hone my craft as a filmmaker and get a masters degree, so I left my job during the pandemic and went to grad school at University of Texas at Austin. I found my voice as a writer and director in the MFA film production program, creating 4 short films both narrative and documentary. I also developed my craft as an editor, editing my own films and working on 4 other student films as both an editor and assistant editor. It was through opportunities and the guidance of UT's faculty that led me to editing as my main career. While in grad school and completing my MFA degree, I've had to opportunity to assistant edit and edit feature narratives, documentaries, and shorts as proof of concepts. I also have worked as a Digital Imaging Technician on feature films and docuseries, often marrying the role with assistant editor responsibilities.

 

Now as a post grad, I'm launching my career full time as freelance editor in both narrative and documentary. I also offer services as an assistant editor and DIT  for film productions and series when I'm in between editing projects. I'm currently based in Austin but can travel to anywhere that's needed. Not only do I work fast from my many years working in sports production, but I have a meticulous focus on detail. Every cut and every frame counts, and I don't overlook anything when it comes to my workflow. My experience as a writer and director has helped in my editing process, allowing me to adapt and rethink creative decisions in order to best serve the story and bring it to life. My technical skills and my storyteller instincts drive my editing expertise.​
